Our Story
Hi! We are Janhavi & Maitrey, a wife-husband team 💛💛 with a humble dream,
“Inspiring every Indian couple to celebrate love everyday!” ✨
A few years back, we were unable to find any thoughtful “couple” products for us and our friends/cousins in a relationship. So, we created some illustrations, got small batches of sample products manufactured and gifted them to all these couples.
Every one of them was overjoyed to witness a couple-inspired product that actually celebrated their love for each other!
This positive feedback, our strong hope and a sprinkle of “we-can-do-this” conviction, made us leave the comfort of our corporate jobs.
This is how we started building “toowanza” together!
Our Logo Mark
One fine morning, we were sitting in our balcony.
As we were sipping on our tea and coffee (Janhavi loves masala chai and I love freshly brewed filter coffee) we saw two unusual birds!
After clicking a few photos, we found out that they were a pair of Indian grey hornbills. A species renowned for their remarkable devotion as lifelong partners.
They practise monogamy, forming an inseparable bond for a lifetime!
We had just started our entrepreneurial journey when they visited us. This beautiful serendipity inspired us to create this logo!
It is also designed like a postage stamp, to deliver our heartfelt message - “toowanza” is made for the two of you, by the two of us!
